We actually booked the copper kettle but due to unforeseen circumstances someone had left a window open and the rain had got in we we asked to stay in the nearby hotel a related accommodation in the same street for the first of two nights for the same price. We accepted as it was un upgrade. As it was so lovely and the concierge Les was so thorough we spent both nights.
We loved our time in this and other parts of Eire.
The ring of Kerry was super spectacular!SSSSS

Wonderful B&B! Walking distance to the city center very convenient. The breakfast was very well done. The host staff was very professional, friendly, and flexible. The staff made our visit relaxing and they were even able to book our tours for us. We will definitely be back. SSSSS

We stayed only one night and it was fine a part from the fact that at our arrival we where asked which type of breakfast we wanted and that it was going to cost € 5 for continental or €10 for Irish breakfast. The request came to surprise because we booked a bed & breakfast and not just bed. they said we could have gone to their twin accomodation if we wanted a free breakfast..I feel that their website is misleading and they should specify that breakfast should be paid for..I have been to so many accomodation in ireland and this is first time something like that happen to me.SSSSS

Overall, we had a very good stay at the Copper Kettle B & B The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the employees were very helpful Breakfast, served at the nearby Fairview Inn, was nothing short of fabulous
What is not advertised is that at the Copper Kettle all rooms are on the 2nd floor and no elevator A manager occupies all of the downstairs I probably would not have booked here, had I known this ahead of time - but didn't think to ask when making the booking
The management team was extremely helpful throughout our 3 night stay
The only real negative to our stay was that we had a couple of issues with the bathroom The main one is that during our stay, the hot water only the hot came out green You would not see it if just washing your hands, but fill the sink, or the tub, and it was a very distinct green color I did not let the management know about it until we were leaving but presume that this is not exclusive to Room 1, but likely impacted all guest rooms
As we were checking out, I told the manager about the green water, and he apologised and said that had he known earlier, he'd have moved us to the Fairview a more expensive place He presumed that the water company was "putting something in the water to purify it" But I don't think so - it wasn't happening with the cold water I wonder what the cause was
A smaller issue: the shower in room 1 is a steam shower, a very elegant idea but what happens is that because it's all sealed up, the shower never really airs or dries out - so it smells mildewy and there were signs of mold and mildew inside of it I think this is a design issue - or perhaps guests need to be asked to simply leave the door ajar when not in use for ventilation
Overall, a good stay with good management
